Horse Equipment Security

Mark all valuable items of horse equipment such as saddlery and tack, horse rugs, etc with a name and/or postcode. Leather saddlery and tack can be marked with embossing stamps to indent a postcode onto the underside of the saddle flap or headpiece. Saddles can also be marked by engraving on the stirrup bars or by inserting a tiny microchip with a unique number into them.

Rugs can be marked with a waterproof marker on the inside of the rug, or on the outside where it can also act as a deterrant against theft.
