Warning About Classifieds Fraudsters
Advertisers should be aware that fraudsters are contacting sellers (usually by email) and offering to pay more than the asking price by cheque, etc and requesting sellers refund the difference in cash (usually without viewing the horseoffered for sale). As this site is heavily promoted it is easily found by both genuine potential buyers and such fraudsters. For your own protection please ignore any requests that you receive from people offering to pay above the asking price and asking for the difference to be refunded as any such request is likely to be a scam and report the sender to their email provider, or in the unlikely event that the fraudster gives a telephone number or address they should be reported to the police.
